Rolling recording desk with microphone stand
Our American site has been running a "desk week" campaign, they have been challenging their customers to innovate new styles of desks, the results of this campaign have been overwhelming. Providing support and assistance where needed, Simplified have helped to bring a multitude of ideas into reality, utilising Kee Klamp fittings and tube to ensure that the resulting product fulfills the specific requirements of each individual customer.

Purpose |
This is a portable studio desk that was designed to support recording equipment. |
Features |
The wood on top was designed with storage capacity for recording equipment, computer, and a small keyboard. Casters on the desk make it possible to move when needed. Probably the most unique feature of this desk (something we've never seen before) is the microphone support that extends from the side of the desk. This gives the mic a very stable base and keeps everything together when the desk needs to move. The arm can be extended or moved in an out by loosening and tightening the set screw. Britton painted the galvanised fittings black to hide the cables and get the character he was looking for. |
Building Tips |
Britton used a smaller size tube for the microphone stand. He was able to connect two different size tube together with a multi-sized tee. The slip on portion of the tee is size 7, the socket section of the tee is size 5. |
