Roy just moved into a modern apartment and decided to go for an industrial look for his bedroom. The Camden bed frame seemed like a great match for the minimalist look that he was going for.
Roy chose a king size bed frame which he put together in less than an hour.
Roy started assembling the footboard first, using 10-6 and 15-6 fittings to connect the tubes. When doing this, make sure that you also insert the 10-6 that will hold the tube for your bed slats support.
Using a measuring tape, he made sure that the smaller tube sections of the footboard were placed at an equal distance from each other.
He then attached the flanges (61-6) to the bed legs.
Once the footboard was put together, Roy built the headboard using the same technique, making sure he did not forget to add the 10-6 fittings that will later hold the slats support:
The next step was to connect the footboard and the headboard using the longer pieces of tube and Roy started adding the tube from one side, working his way through to the other side.
Finally, he added the bed slats (which, on this occasion, were cut to size by a local DIY store), laid the mattress and the bed was ready!
If you are looking for a slats system that does not require fixing into the tube, we show you how to build one here:
Alternatively, here are a few fittings you can buy separately to help you out:
