Custom Hanging Rails with Shelving Units

We love it when a project comes together!

Stephen Baylis from Mountain Trading Ltd was looking to reconfigure his shop storage and looking for clothing rails that could bear the weight of his extra clothing stock. Later, when he required additional storage in the form of shelving and decided that he wanted to expand some of his existing hanging rails, he was able to quickly adapt his designs with the help of our Kee Klamp rail support fixings.

Stephen had a maximum height of 2200 mm due to an overhead gas pipe he needed to avoid, and already had a rough sketch of what he was looking to achieve. He reached out to Simplified Building and worked closely with Paul Magee, our UK Sales Specialist to get a first round of rails installed.

After the first lot of hanging rails were installed, Stephen decided that he wanted to have some shelving space added and that he wanted to add to some of the smaller units he had installed.

As our clothing rails are made out of tube and Kee Klamp fittings, it gives you the ability to continuously mix and match fittings so that you can create the perfect solution for your space. Kee Klamp fittings work pretty much like a Mecano set, where you use and reuse and add different parts depending on your requirements.

After seeking some expert advice from Paul, Stephen was able to order additional tubing and brackets for shelving units to really maximise his limited storage room space.

As the hanging rails are wall mounted, Stephen was able to utilise the limited space in the storeroom more effectively, allowing him to organise his extra stock. Thanks to its galvanised steel structure and robustness, his storage room is now set up to withstand the load of heavy clothing for years to come, without rusting or bending.
